Due to issues and concerns expressed by the community of Meadow Lakes.

The Meadow Lakes Community Council wishes to withdraw the July 13, 2011 motion to submit the SpUD to the Planning Department.

Matanuska-Susitna Borough Transportation Advisiory Board is seeking a resolution from the community of Meadow Lakes supporting the "Fishback" alignment as the preferred alignment for Phase II of the Seldon Road Extension

Suitability & Engineering Analysis Request for Proposals Scope of Work


The purpose of this project is to perform an engineering and environmental analysis of potential
sites for a septage and leachate treatment and disposal facility within the populous south-central part of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB). 

New Business 3rd Item:

Foothills Blvd. Upgrade to Borough Standards
Mr. Tilton

Mr. Tilton is seeking a resolution from the community of Meadow Lakes to obtain State funding for improving Foothills Blvd to bring it to Borough maintence

  • Road work about $400,000 to $450,000 (per Mr. Tilton)
    • Seeking State funds
  • Culvert less then $500,000 (per Borough source)
    • Culvert is listed as a Fish Passage Culvert Rating of RED
      • Current Culvert
    • Federal funds are not availble at this time (but maybe in the future)
    • Seeking State funds for culvert

Recycling Dumpsters

Meadow Lakes Community Development Inc. is pending submission of a grant request to retrofit three Mat-Su Borough dumpsters to be used for collecting recycling at the Big Lake Transfer Station.

CIP Submissions
CIP Information will be on the Borough Website Monday, January 5, and nominations will be due on Friday, March 13.
