MSB: Revenue Sharing Grant

The Borough has approved our 2010 revenue sharing grant request. Our final MSB Revenue Sharing Grant will be 2011.

The Meadow Lakes Community Council proposes to use the State of Alaska, Fiscal Year 2010 Community Revenue Sharing Program funds provided by Senate Bill 72 for the benefit of the public. Below is the list of projects that we may work to include but not be limited to.

2010 Revenue Sharing Grant Application Requests
  • $2,000.00 Liability Insurance, Permits, and Fees
  • $4,000.00 Support the Gaming Recipients until gaming is up and running. These activities include the needy families at Christmas, Community Outreach projects such as Clean UP, and Education projects.
  • $1,000.00 Tents, Serving supplies, Electrical Cords, and other items normally borrowed from community members to put on such events as Clean-Up, the Block Party, the Christmas Party, and at the Educational classes sponsored by the Meadow Lakes Community Council, Inc.
  • $9,200.00 Continue the Educational classes as they were such a success this past year. Increased the amount so the Meadow Lakes Community Council, Inc. can reach more young people and included adults in classes such as the CPR certification. This classes include but are not limited to; Gun Safety, First Aid, CPR Certification, Water Safety, Bicycle Safety, Snow-machine Safety, Winter Weather Safety, and Moose Awareness.
  • $1,000.00 To continue to purchase communication upgrades to aid in getting Meadow Lakes Community Council, Inc. information out to the residents of our area and publishing brochures or advertisements concerning events in the community.
  • $2,000.00 Sign on the Parks Highway showing the Meadow Lakes Community Boundary.
  • $1,000.00 If Porta-Potties are successful this year, the establishment of continued improvements to popular public swimming area on lakes within Meadow Lakes
